Alexandria Coe is a freelance illustrator living and working in East London. Her recent degree has enabled her to truly focus on her passion for image culture, particularly her obsession with the female figure. Her art is directly influenced by the insecurities she experienced growing up in an oversaturated beauty image market. It is always intimate and provocative, channeling her complex emotions towards female culture, encompassing both anger and love.
I like to play with the idea of the gaze, whether that’s the male or the female and the fine line between.
My characters are often stuck between dressing and undressing, representing the juxtapose of submission and assertion.
