Chiara Antille is a young photographer from Milan.
“I am a whale” is a series of stills representing the meals eaten by three girls ; one with a normal diet, one affected from anorexia nervosa and one bulimic subject. Antille wanted to visually interpret these diseases with a series of still life works, proposing a different point of view that doesn’t use the body of those who are affected by the conditions. The compositions are inspired by real testimonials of girls suffering from them, found on social medias posts and on the web.
“We could all get involved with one of these diseases. Much more than we can imagine”
