Charlotte Haulot is an analog photographer and fashion stylist based in Paris. Passionate about image and aesthetics since her early teenage years, she developed her interest in photography while attending Parisian fashion schools Mod’art & Mod’spé. Shooting exclusively on film, Charlotte is looking to create something raw, instantaneous, organic and accidental. William Eggleston, Joel Meyerowitz or Wolfgang Tillmans are part of her influences. Details and common things of life are the main subjects in her pictures.
“Capturing the raw beauty of people and the ordinary things of life, sometimes disturbing, makes me feel alive. I like the idea that something unexpected, an « accident » is captured and becomes the important thing in a photo. That’s why I work only on film, without editing. The limited freedom of analog, deprived of technology, forces my eye to be focused on this magical moment that will make me push the button.”
