Bodies, landscapes, and a whole lot of beautiful confusion.
We recently came across French-Mexican photographer Lisa Gervassi and immediately fell for Entanglements, her ongoing photographic series exploring the relationship between the female body and the landscape.
Skin, rocks, trees and shadows blur into one another, creating hazy, grainy images that feel somewhere between a dream and a distant memory.
The series looks at the transition into midlife and what it feels like to watch your body change… But rather than seeing this as something to fight, Lisa sees it as a shift, maybe even an opening.
She also questions all those expectations women carry around beauty, femininity, motherhood and how we’re “supposed” to be.
A little mysterious, a little raw, and very beautiful. We’ll be keeping an eye on this one. ♡
