Alina Gross, a German photo artist operating between Düsseldorf and Berlin, captures the essence of vulnerability through the lens of imperfection in our bodies. known for her impactful work, Alina has been featured in prestigious publications such as Vogue and various international magazines. Her collaboration with the Vagina Museum in London and representation at The Curators in New York underline the depth and significance of her artistic contributions. Gross’s works have been showcased in solo and group exhibitions, including notable events such as the Riga Biennale for Photography in 2021, the Queer Archive in Athens in 2022, the CuratedByGIRLS “New Femininity #4” Exhibition in Lisbon in 2022, and the Photovogue Festival in Milan in 2023.

Our bodies, with their imperfections and uniqueness, often become the canvas where vulnerability is most visible. Embracing vulnerability within our bodies means acknowledging and accepting its fluctuations, scars, and changes.

Our bodies not only physically represent vulnerability but also emotionally. Sharing this vulnerability can be liberating, forging connections and understanding among us. Embracing our bodies’ vulnerabilities becomes a powerful tool for self-compassion and fostering empathy in our relationships with others.
