Mirella de Mar is a feminist photographer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now based in Berlin. In her work she wants to show the diversity of bodies, intimacy and eroticism. She usually shoots in 35mm as she finds this format more real and authentic.
“I always try to investigate the way of expressing my ideas, my political and social thoughts, and above all create a parallel world that is defined by colors and sensitivity. I try to capture that kind of sensitivity through portraits of people, especially close friends with whom i share similar values. I also want to explore what cannot be seen like the dark, the hidden, that we also have inside of us. I like that my photos take you through a world of endeavor where everything seems a fantasy but at the same time you feel a certain intimacy and nostalgia.“
