Celeste Ortiz is a Chile-based photographer primarily focused on self-portraiture, exploring themes of intimacy, the body, introspection, femininity, and nature.
I have been doing selfportraits since I first held a camera, using my own body and space, my room, to create images. In the last year I have been trying to expand my subjects. Looking at what surrounds me, I found great interest in flowers and fruits. I try to blend those elements to represent the connection of the body and nature as a whole, an intimacy with something that I used to think was external to myself.
