LAETITIA BICA — STAY WET

Belgian body-focused artist and artivist Laetitia Bica met Canadian burlesque artist and fatactivist Rosie Bourgeoisie, founder and producer of the trans/non-binary productions and collective ThemFatale, for the first time in Brussels, and decided to turn a very hot Friday into a very pink photoshoot: wet bodies, bright colours and absolutely no interest in playing it safe.

Wrapped in sheer fabrics and floral lingerie, Rosie becomes part pin-up, part painting, part wonderfully unapologetic celebration of the body. The photographs feel playful and sensual, but there’s also something quite powerful about the way Laetitia lets the body take up space ; tattoos, curves, skin, everything.

It’s a visual conversation between two artists interested in challenging the way bodies are seen, photographed and judged.

And honestly, with that neon yellow lingerie, the pink velvet and a bottle of water involved, we’re not sure we’ve ever seen hydration look this good.

Stay hydrated. Stay wet. Stay yourself. ♡
